At The Battlefields Experience we have a passion for military history. We specialise in organising scheduled and bespoke tours of The Somme Battlefields and throughout Europe, covering the period from 1914 to 1945. We have welcomed and entertained visitors from around the world at the historic Old Café Jourdain at Mailly-Maillet, on the Somme, and our key personnel are Rod and Jackie Bedford. Both Rod and Jackie have served in the British Army. Rod is one of the few battlefield tour guides operating today who can combine an encyclopaedic knowledge of historic military events, with the skills attained through a career in the Grenadier Guards and Instructor at the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst. The significance of each battlefield location is fully revealed and brought alive for you - through the eyes of a soldier.
